Assist UK lead a UK-wide network of centres which provide advice, assessment and the opportunity to try out the whole range of community service equipment. Below you will find a list of the equipment and topics with which your local centre can help.
Remember: - the information and advice you receive at a Disabled/Independent Living Centre is always impartial because centres, by and large, don't sell equipment. In addition, assessments for the suitability of a product are nearly always free of charge.

Please note that not all centres provide every service. Contact the centre prior to visiting to confirm that the service you need is available. Click here for details of your nearest Disabled Living Centre.
Anyone who requires information on daily living equipment for disabled people should know about the Disabled Living Foundation's DLF Data (the most comprehensive guide to disability-related equipment in Europe), which is used in the majority of DLC's in the UK.
