FirstLightNovember 5, 2026

ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — FirstLight, a leading provider of high-capacity fiber optic network solutions across the Northeast, today announced a new agreement to deliver diverse, high-capacity connectivity to a major hyperscaler expanding its presence in Pennsylvania. The project includes diverse wave and transport services along with diverse dedicated internet access (DIA) circuits, giving the customer the redundant, high-capacity fiber infrastructure needed to meet an aggressive operational timeline.

As hyperscale organizations race to bring new capacity online, the ability to secure reliable, diverse connectivity quickly has become a critical factor in site selection and deployment timelines. FirstLight’s existing footprint of more than 3,200 route miles across Pennsylvania, part of a broader 20,000-mile network spanning the Northeast, allowed the company to deliver diverse, redundant service to this customer’s site rapidly, without waiting on lengthy construction projects to reach completion.

” Speed to market matters more than ever for hyperscale organizations, and that’s exactly where our existing network gives us an advantage. Because so much of our infrastructure in Pennsylvania is already operational and capable of providing both dark fiber and lit services, we can deliver diverse, resilient connectivity to a new site much faster.”

— Lorenzo, Leuzzi, Chief Revenue Officer, FirstLight Fiber

The project also includes new fiber construction extending FirstLight’s network further into central Pennsylvania, creating a more direct, diverse southern route and adding new interstate and rail crossings along the way. The build strengthens FirstLight’s regional network diversity and lays additional groundwork for future enterprise, carrier, and digital infrastructure connectivity across the area, while the customer benefits immediately from FirstLight’s existing, already-diverse Pennsylvania network.

FirstLight’s Northeast network spans more than 20,000 route miles in total, including over 3,200 route miles in Pennsylvania, delivering carrier-grade transport, dark fiber, unified communications, security and colocation services to hyperscalers, enterprises, carriers, and public sector customers throughout the region.
